Where the snow holds best
The Plaine Morte glacier, between 2 700 m and 2 927 m, is the highest sector of the ski area and the one that keeps its snow longest, early and late in the season. Above Les Violettes, the Toula sector also stays well covered. The lower pistes towards the plateau (1 500 m) depend more on recent snowfall and temperature.
